Start a telemedicine call with Dr. Lavania or Anna.
We’re thrilled to be offering you secure video visits. While we love it when you visit us in the office, we understand that it’s not always convenient to do so. Video visits allow your children to receive the same quality care as they do in the clinic, without taking time off work or school.
Video visits are appropriate for many types of appointments, especially follow-up and minor urgent care. Feel free to request a video visit right here from the website. We look forward to seeing you soon!
For video visits, schedule an appointment by calling the office or sending a portal message. Then, simply go to https://ofp.doxy.me or via Chrome or Firefox to enter Dr Lavania´s waiting room a few minutes before your appointment.
Choose your child’s name.
Click on “Choose a subject” and choose “Telemedicine Consent”.
Lighting: It is important for you to be in a well-lit area with your child. Always face the light so the image is clear.
Distractions: If possible, try to be in a room free from distractions. We understand this can be tough while being at home. Sometimes our other little patients and fur babies stop by in the background to say hello- and that is ok!
Prep work: You get to assist us! You will need a scale, a watch, a thermometer and a flashlight/phone light. If you don’t have some of these tools, don’t worry, we will improvise!
Internet: We find that smartphones tend to work better. Log in 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to make sure everything is working well.
During the visit: The doctor or NP may need your help in examining your child. We may have you show us their chest, throat, eyes, push on their belly, check their heart rate.
Have some fun: Allow your child to show us their favorite toy or pet! This will help your child feel more at ease.
